OUR HISTORY

Established by Robin Faccenda in 1962, our name hasn’t changed but our business has transformed since then. From a single chicken farm, we’ve grown to become one of the UK’s biggest food businesses, with a turnover of more than £550m and a team of over 3,600 highly talented people.

In addition to inward investment and organic growth we have also grown through acquisition. In 2012 we bought the turkey producer Cranberry Foods, and in 2015 added duck to our product range with the acquisition of Cherry Valley Foods: making us the only UK supplier of chicken, turkey and duck.

Yet we remain a family owned business, with a strong culture and values that has people at its heart.

OUR CULTURE

We firmly believe that our people make the difference and this is reflected in our culture. We believe that individuals are happiest, and most effective, when they are free to be themselves, are given responsibility and are challenged to fulfil their potential.

Our culture is one of teamwork and partnership, where relationships are built for the long term and people are encouraged to get involved. Our business may have changed over the years, and it will likely continue to do so in the years to come, but our culture is constant. It is what makes us unique and it is what makes us successful over the long
